Chalk power on Broadway between 32nd and 33rd St in Manhattan
Variable
This is a site-specific installation that I used a stencil as a mask and poured white chalk powder to create the sentence, “I am an afterthought that has never been seen.” in Korean, on the 32th street in Manhattan. This temporal text is dispersed by people and the elements as time goes by. This work came from the personal experience as a foreigner living in the United States. A lot of immigrants lives in the united States but their right and opinion is hardly embraced in the main society.
